Effective September 27, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of the website write-creations.com (the “Site”), operated by Mary Thomas, operating as Write Creations (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

About the Site

The Site provides information about Mary Thomas, her keynotes and workshops, and her writing, including the book Across Borders, Beyond Beliefs, and allows event organizers to submit speaking inquiries. The Site is free to use.

Speaking Inquiries

Submitting a Speaking Inquiry does not create a booking, reservation, or contract, and does not guarantee Mary’s availability. Any speaking engagement, workshop, or other service is subject to confirmation and to a separate written agreement setting out the date, fees, and other terms.

You agree that the information you submit is accurate and that you are authorized to share it, including on behalf of any organization you represent. We handle your submission as described in our Privacy Policy.

When using the Site, you agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
  • Submit false, misleading, abusive, or unsolicited promotional content (spam) through the form.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, interfere with its operation, or introduce viruses or other harmful code.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or overload the Site.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including text, photographs, the book cover, the Write Creations name and logo, graphics, and design, is owned by or licensed to Mary Thomas and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view the Site and print or share pages for personal, non-commercial purposes, provided you do not modify them and you keep all copyright and other notices. Any other copying, reproduction, modification, distribution, or commercial use requires our prior written permission.

Third-Party Websites

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices, and a link does not imply our endorsement. Your use of third-party websites is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

Disclaimer

The Site and its content are provided for general information purposes only, on an “as is” and “as available” basis, and do not constitute professional advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the Site, including its accuracy, completeness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mary Thomas and her representatives from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal information and how you can manage your cookie preferences.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms or change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Alberta for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site.

General

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
